Wow, very impressive man! I think you have managed quite a realistic image here.

I think the gingerbread men aren't particularly convincing. Probably too bright compared to the actual photo. Could be said with the Gremlin too, but I dont think you notice as much on him. What you do notice close up if some fading on the gremlin around the edges either because of the soft brush you used or maybe any erasing.

I think the actual body of the character though it great. Nice texturing and lighting. Although like I said, maybe a little too bright considering the light source and value of the light in that room.

I think the one thing that lets it down, is unfortunately the face. It doesnt have the same level or realism. The teeth seem very stylised and feel 'warped', rather than an animal's teeth attached to a skull. Different colour, variation of length, maybe gums, and a less triangular feel may get that across better. And maybe in general, maybe the face is too stylised rather than feeling like muscles and bone structure in that smile. The eyes are also a lil bit too weird and feel too...I dunno, just 'made up' in photoshop, rather than feeling like a real animal's eye.

But hey, you asked me to be critical and this is being super critical man. I was impressed and thought it looked fantastic, especially before you enlarge the image, and the reflections are a nice touch too.

One thing I'll note is the resolution of the photo has this dull, grainy look, while the gremlin is quite crystal clear. One tip I have picked up is this one - [link] which adds a little grain to your picture. I think if you apply this to the gremlin layer, it will feel like it is more part of the photograph rather than a painting added to one.

Hope any of this helps and doesnt make you go off crying or hating on me bro. ;)
